Last week I tried the food from Firangi Bake. This puts a desi twist on global cuisine. The menu is super interesting, and definitely worth some experimentation.
Minced Chicken Lasagna
We started off with the Minced Chicken Lasagne (Non Veg). Now a chicken lasagne is a classic pasta dish with tomatoes forming the base for a meat sauce. In this case, they have dialed it up a notch and used a spicy masala base to form the sauce. And surprisingly, it works! The garam masala based sauce with the boneless chicken goes beautifully with the thin sheets of pasta. The layer of baked cheese forms the perfect “suhaaga” for this “sona”!
Tandoori Kukkad Pot Rice
The Tandoori Kukkad Pot Rice (Non Veg) is a fancy name for a Biryani, baked with a layer of cheese. Biryani? Good! Chicken? Good! Cheese? Good! Well thought out dish – totally worth a reorder!
They have quite a few offerings on a similar vein. Something I really want to try out next is the Chicken Kheema Quesadilla – sounds delightful!
